Industrial Blast-Cleaning

Industrial sandblasting is blast-cleaning for businesses — stripping paint, rust and mill scale off structural steel, plant equipment, heavy equipment and fleets so they're ready for industrial coatings or powder coating. Paint stripping and rust removal blasting are the core of it: we take the old finish and corrosion off down to clean metal, leaving the right profile for the new coating to bond. Work inside plants and refineries follows the site owner's safety, permit and access rules — we don't claim any specific safety certification, and we work to your site's requirements.

Proud to Serve Pearland & the Bay Area

We serve customers from Pearland across Brazoria, Harris and Fort Bend counties. Mobile blasting comes to your home, business, marina, plant or job site.

What's Included

Structural Steel Prepping

Blast-cleaning structural steel before coating — beams, columns and fabricated steel to the right profile.

Plant & Petrochemical Equipment

Tanks, skids, pipe and fabricated steel at your plant or yard — stripped and ready to coat.

Heavy Equipment Paint Removal

Old paint and rust off heavy equipment so the new coating bonds to clean metal.

Fleet Truck Blasting

Work trucks and fleet vehicles stripped and re-coated, on a schedule if you need it.

Marine & Dock Steel

Dock and marine steel blasted to remove salt and corrosion before coating.

Paint Stripping & Rust Removal

The core of industrial blasting — getting old paint and rust off down to clean metal.

Why This Matters Here

Corrosion is the cost of doing business down here. The refineries, chemical plants and port terminals along the Houston Ship Channel in Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte and Baytown mean a lot of structural steel, pipe, tanks, heavy equipment and work trucks — all of it sitting in humid, salty air that speeds up rust. Salt air off Galveston Bay and the muggy subtropical climate mean bare and chipped steel corrodes fast, and storms and flooding leave equipment and fleets rusting. Industrial sandblasting strips the rust and old coatings off so the new industrial coating or powder coat actually bonds and lasts.

Care & Prevention

Keep up with a coating maintenance plan on plant steel and equipment — regular inspections and touch-ups catch corrosion before it spreads. Rinse equipment and fleet trucks with fresh water, especially near the bay, to cut the salt that settles on everything. Re-coat on schedule rather than waiting for rust to break through, and call us when you spot any bubbling or coating failure.

Blast-Cleaning Grades

Industrial coatings specify a blast-cleaning grade — how clean the surface has to be before the coating goes on. We blast to the grade your spec calls for. SA 2.5, for example, is a grade from the ISO 8501-1 standard meaning "very thorough blast cleaning": at least 95% of the surface is free of visible mill scale, rust, paint and foreign matter, leaving only light stains. It's often called near-white metal and is roughly equivalent to SSPC-SP 10 / NACE No. 2. Tell us your spec and we'll blast to it.

A note on lead paint. Paint on metal from before 1978 may contain lead. Older painted surfaces may need to be tested for lead and handled under the rules that apply, and we never blast lead paint without precautions.

What Industrial Sandblasting Costs

What affects the cost: the size and tonnage of the steel or equipment, how much paint and rust has to come off, the blast grade your spec calls for, access at the plant or yard, and whether it's a one-off or a recurring fleet program. We quote every job after we see it.

Job typePriceWhat affects it
Structural steel (per ton / per lot)Quoted after we see itTonnage, blast grade, condition
Plant / petrochemical equipmentQuoted after we see itSize, access, coating layers, blast grade
Heavy equipment paint removalQuoted after we see itEquipment size, paint & rust, access
Fleet truck blasting (per truck / program)Quoted after we see itTruck size, condition, schedule
Tanks, skids, pipeQuoted after we see itSize, surface area, blast grade

Price depends on the size and tonnage of the steel or equipment, how much paint and rust must come off, the blast grade your spec calls for, access at the plant or yard, and whether it's a one-off or a recurring fleet program. Your exact price is set after we see it.

What to Expect

  1. 1

Call or send specs. Tell us the steel, equipment or fleet and the blast grade.

  2. 2

We quote it — by the ton, the piece or the program.

  3. 3

We blast at your plant or yard to the spec.

  4. 4

Your steel or equipment is ready for coating, on schedule.

Is this the right fit? The right method is decided after we see the item or surface. Some items may not suit a given process — for example thin sheet metal, plastic, glass, rubber or cast parts that may warp, pit or outgas, or items with lead paint that need special handling. Send a photo or call and we'll tell you straight.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is SA 2.5 in blasting?

SA 2.5 is a grade from the ISO 8501-1 standard meaning "very thorough blast cleaning": at least 95% of the surface is free of visible mill scale, rust, paint and foreign matter, leaving only light stains. It's often called near-white metal and is roughly equivalent to SSPC-SP 10 / NACE No. 2. It's the cleanliness level many industrial coatings require before they'll bond and perform.

Can you blast equipment at our plant or yard?

Yes. We blast structural steel, plant and petrochemical equipment, tanks, skids, pipe and fabricated steel at your plant or yard. Work inside plants and refineries follows the site owner's safety, permit and access rules — we don't claim any specific safety certification, and we work to your site's requirements.

Do you work on fleet vehicles on a schedule?

Yes. Fleet truck blasting and heavy equipment paint removal can be set up on a schedule — we'll work out a recurring plan that keeps your trucks and equipment coated and in service. Call and we'll talk through a fleet program.
